THE LITTLE MUK

Theatre MOJE GLEDALISCE, LJUBLJANA

Little Muk is searching the world, trying to find happiness. After his father’s

death, his cruel cousins throw him out of his home, and his adventure

begins. On his journey, he meets the witch Ahavzi and her cats. With the

help of those cats, he gets a magic wand and a pair of magic slippers. This

magic wand makes it possible for him to find all of the stolen and hidden

treasures, and when he puts the slippers on, he becomes so fast that

nobody can catch him. Because of these magical objects he gets into trouble

in the Sultan’s castle, when he discovers that all of the Sultan’s vassals are

in fact hoodlums and thieves. But, that is not all. Ahavzi the witch is also

after him, wanting back her magical objects.

But, that is not all. Ahavzi the witch is also after him, wanting back her

magical objects. This story is full of dynamic twists and turns, but it also

tells us about classic values and human limitations in a very interesting way

that children can easily relate to, how fortune and greed never bring true

happiness to anyone. The magic objects didn’t bring happiness to little Muk,

just a lot of problems. That is why Muk still searches for his happiness.
